Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) are activities that we perform on a daily basis. These activities include bathing, dressing, grooming and even feeding, just to name a few. A person’s ability or inability to perform the Activities of Daily Living can be a measurement of a person’s ability to be independent.
Calgary Elder Care understands you want to remain at home, and our goal is to help you maintain your independence as long as possible. This includes assistance with daily living tasks that are no longer easy to do yourself.
As well as providing valuable companionship, our caregivers will help keep seniors connected to their community and encourage participation in recreational events and activities.
Activities of Daily Living may include:
- Personal Care
- Social Engagements
Shopping is not a necessity of life, but it is a great way to keep the mind active. Whether shopping for groceries, prescription refills or doctor’s appointments, Calgary Elder Care wants to ensure that your outings will be safe and enjoyable.
Calgary Elder Care will provide caregivers who can drive for seniors who are no longer able to drive. Transportation is another element of our service that allows you to maintain your independence and social contacts.
